Dream Weaver this is Nick and I’s form of closure for the ones we have lost. I (Coty) have been through a lot of loss since Silver Lights began. I first started writing this song when I lost one of my closest childhood friends to suicide. I had no clue he was going through anything through so much that he will feel the need to take his life. A year later, I lost one of my best friends to his drug addiction. This trend of loss continued with 13 more of my childhood friends lost to suicide and drug addiction. Since Silver Lights was created, Nick and I both face more losses in a car accident and murder. We finally, decided to take action and embrace feelings we’ve been holding in for so long and finish writing this song.
