Tips for Writer’s block: Use Your insecurities

Everyone has had that moment when you've created something you're proud of and ready to keep going, but things seem to stop. The creative thinking is not flowing the way it did at the start. This is called writer's block.

When you get stuck in the rut of writer's block, it's essential to identify why. It slows down production, content creation, and momentum. Momentum is the key to a successful career in the entertainment industry. I believe there are only two actual causes of writer's block: insecurity and a lack of curiosity. Let's talk about insecurity.

Insecurity is hard to overcome, but it's something you will have to face throughout your whole life. I've encountered this issue with everything song I've written. Whether I care about what others think about my music or do not believe I can compete with my past work, insecurity is always there. It's not something you can make disappear, but you use your insecurities to your advantage. Weirdly enough, having insecurities is something that everyone can relate to. The fear of your content not being good enough is content itself. Not only do your insecurities give you material to write about, but they can actually help you cope with them too.

Writer's block is just you getting lost in your head. When you give your insecurities control, they'll take you to places that you don't recognize. You can make the best out of where they take you or stay lost.
